Chad Clifton, LCSW
I have been working with people as a social worker since 1994. Historically, I have focused on working in small towns and rural areas with people of all ages and backgrounds. I am warm, caring, and down to earth. I believe the therapeutic process begins with starting where you are and going from there."
I think the therapeutic relationship is often more important than the approach. Thus, I begin focusing on the working relationship early on in the process. I like to use a combination of therapeutic approaches ranging from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Schema, Narrative, etc. I'm not set on using any specific approach instead I strive to matching it to the individual's needs and goals.

I enjoy meeting with people from all walks of life. Sharing a brief moment in a person’s journey is such an honor. I received my Masters of Social Work degree with a certificate in Gerontology from the University of Georgia in 1996. My work experience spans across the medical field in helping people with a variety of issues, such as grief and loss, anxiety due to adjustment/life changes, chronic/terminal illness, caregiver stress and end of life concerns. My therapeutic style is person centered by providing a safe environment for people to be able to share their life story. I firmly believe in the power of building a rapport with clients to help them meet their needs and goals. By incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, clients can develop an understanding of their emotions and strategies to manage them. With my eclectic skill set, I look forward to assisting you with your life challenges.
